When I saw the announcement on instagram that Zoe Sugg AKA Zoella, was going to be collaborating with Coloupop I was over the moon. I was extremely excited for the products to launch. I have been watching Zoella for years and to me she is someone I will watch when I fancy a good old catch up, someone who I get a lot of comfort from watching. She has been in the Youtube game for a while and she is doing so well for herself. Her makeup collaboration with ColourPop I feel was very overdue, alot of people including me, were waiting for her to bring out makeup products. Zoe talks about her love for makeup in her vlogs alot, so I had never understood why she has never brought anything makeup related out before. Although she has brought out lifestyle bits and bobs such as candles, perfumes and notebooks she has never brought out any cosmetics. I think it totally makes sense for her to bring out makeup, and hopefully she will bring out more in the future. OF COUSE, when she annouced that she was collaborating with Coloupop, i 100% WAS THAT GIRL that set an alarm for 6PM when the collection dropped. I just was.. and i am so glad that i did.

The makeup collaboration was created around the theme of brunch and basically living your best life over brunch with a bestie.
There is one neutral everyday eyeshadow palette with a pop of blue if you want to jazz up any eyelooks.
Three ultra matt liquid lipstick’s (a red, a nude and a pinky nude, all of which can come in a bundle with matching lipliners)
Two eyeliners, one black and one brown.
Two liquid metallic eyeshadow sticks, a rose gold copper one and a pink champagne one
A pink pressed highlighter
A coral blush.
WOW- What a collection. Especally it being Zoe’s first jump into the cosmetics, i think she brought out a good variety of products. All of the products were beautifully designed to also match the theme. I think the eyeshadow had a waffle on the front, which is super cute. I only brought two of the ultra matt lipsticks because these stood out to me the most and i already own alot of what is sort of in the collection.

They are vegan and cruelty free
3.2g of product inside each lipstick
$6.50 each. (I am from the UK and for the first 48 hours of this launch it was free worldwide shipping so I didn’t have to pay for shipping to the UK. I think they added 20% on top of the price for customs, the lipsticks got delivered straight to my door.
I picked up two of the liquid lipsticks in the shades “@ ME” and “Little One” both on their own as I felt like I already have a lip liner that would be ok with these lipsticks. They arrived at my house 7 days exactly since ordering.

This packaging I think is brilliant because It really hits the nail on the head with the whole brunch theme. I love the barbie pink colour because it is so girly and fun. Can we just talk about the fact that it is covered in eggs, I frickin’ love that! I feel like that is such a Zoe thing to do and I’m here for it. Inside the packaging it is orange (the same shade as the heart on the front) and it also has lots of eggs. One thing that I really enjoyed about the packaging is that it is matt pink, however, the eggs have a gloss feel to them and they really catch the light which is super cute.

I have never purchased anything from ColourPop before, however i do know that the packaging of these lipsticks are Colourpop’s standard ultra matt lipstick packaging. They have a rose gold lid which also matches the foiled font on both the box and the side of the lipsticks. The doe foot applicator is just a normal applicator if you will, although i think it is smaller to most that i have ever used before. I like the size of the applicator i think it allows precision and it really picks up alot of product.

I wanted to pick up these colours because I am a nude kinda girl, I love me a good nude lipstick. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have probably over 30, but can you ever really have to many nude lipsticks, can you???
These are the swatches from the lipsticks, as you can get straight away they are very opaque and I noticed that when I first applied them to my lips. It applies very evenly meaning that I haven’t found any of them to be patchy, which is a bonus. Both shades I have found are VERY VERY light weight which is kind of scary because it feels like you don’t have anything on.. but you do? the longevity of these are incredible. They don’t crack, they don’t smear off or smudge and let me tell you, they are a bugger to get off. – That my friends, is how you know that you have picked up a wicked lipstick lipstick! The lipsticks don’t have a scent which im not really bothered about, although I cant help but think imagine if they smelt like pancakes or vanilla or something brunch themed. Not everyone likes scented makeup products so it doesn’t really bother me, just a thought.
“@ Me” – I wanted this shade because it is more of a pinky nude and I really enjoy wearing these types of nudes. They can really complement your skin and because I am quite pale I think these tones of nude really suit me. This colour is honestly so perfect and will go with any eyeshadow look. I can just tell that I am going to be living in this shade over the spring and summer.
“Little One” – I thought.. THOUGHT I had found my perfect nude, however, apparently I was incorrect, until I tried this one. This nude is literally the perfect nude, I don’t think I have had a nude so close to nude before (that is too much nude in one sentence) This is the perfect colour to wear every single day and it will go with any look on the planet. This is going to be such a staple in my lipstick collection I already know.
TIP- use a lip exfoliatior because this will get rid of the dry skin on your lips, if you apply the lipstick and you have dry lips it will most likely show through.
Did you pick anything up from the collection?? let me know your thoughts on the collection as a whole and what your thoughts are on this lipsticks!
