September Glossybox

I am so happy to be uploading this post, my wifi wasnt working for 4 days and It made me so sad that I couldnt upload any posts, BUT IM BACK! Lets get straight into it..
I don’t really know how I felt about this months Glossybox, I wasn’t completely crazy for it but I didn’t hate it. The theme of this months box was going back to school and so they mainly tried to focus on skin care. In this months box I got:
STYLONDON, Siligel Blender – £5.99 (FULL SIZED)
PIXI BY PETRA, Brow Tamer – £12 (FULL SIZED)
MONU SKINCARE, MONU Firming Fiji Facial oil – £26
CETAPHIL Mini Skincare Trio – £14.99. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser £14.99, Cetaphil Moisturising Cream £8.99, Cetaphil Moistursing Lotion £14.99
A Kinder Bueno, I dont think I really need to explain this chocolate bar.. You can get them from any supermarket and they are normally around £1.50 and they taste amazing.
I LOVE LOVE THIS CHOCOLATE BAR! I am sure everyone has had this but if you havent then you are missing out. It is a chocolate and hazlenut bar that is literally the best thing on the earth (i feel kind of stupid talking about this) and the packaging is amazing erm haha.. yes so you need it if you haven’t tried it already! oh and the best thing is, once you eat one bar there is another one inside!!! Everyones happy 🙂
I have seen these Silisponges all of my social for the last couple of months, even though the craze has died down some people still seem to be talking about these. I feel like I was probably one of the few people left to try this, but when I did I wasn’t impressed. I think I use it for about 3 minutes and then stopped. It was sooo hard to blend my foundation into my face, the foundation just kept going around and around on my face and wasn’t exactly blending into the skin. I feel like with a beauty blender the foundation does blend into the skin but with a silicon blender it doesn’t blend, it just stays on the face and all over the sponge. Yes it did save a lot of product, but it was so messy for me to apply my foundation and in the end it didnt even do the job it was meant to do. I wont be using this to apply my foundation, although I was happy to have received this as I needed it for another blog post. I know that you can pick these sponges up for like £2 from primark so paying £5.99 for something that doesn’t work just sucks. I like the packaging, I thought it was cute but nothing special.
This was by far my favourite product in this months box, I have another perfume like this that is very similar scent wise it’s the Macaron Rose one from Urban Outfitters. The scent of this perfume is stunning, it has a really strong rose smell and it is just divine. If you love rose scents then you will love this one! I love the size of the bottle, it is such a great size to put into my bag and take it around with me. I love that the bottle packaging is really simple but so stunning, it is a clear bottle with the name of the perfume on it and a black lid. The perfume liquid is pink which makes the perfume as a whole look even cuter. This has very quickly become one of my favourite scents. I have been wearing it so much, that I kind of want to stop using it so I can use it next year for summer. But everything about this perfume ticked all of the boxes for me and I have been using it every single day (which kind of makes me sad when i think about only having like half a bottle left lol)
I was so excited to receive this as I really like Pixi as a brand and I also use clear brow gel every single day. First of all i wanted to talk about the price of this product, it is £12. I dont really know how i feel about that, i understand that it is £12 because the brand Pixi is really good, however, i do think this is a little overpriced. Let me know in the comments below whether you agree with me. I know you can pop into Superdrug and pick one up for like £4. Other than the price, i love everything else about the product. I like the simple standard Pixi packaging with the green lid and the rose gold foil writing. i sort of love how the actual bottle itself is clear so you can see the gel inside, i think it looks so cool how you can see all of the bubbles. I have used this a couple of times already have I really like using it. It doesn’t make my brows go crispy and it really gets every hair. It keeps them in place all day which makes me happy. One thing that I really liked was that a lot of product didn’t come when I pulled out the wand, I have another brow gel and so much product comes out that I have to try to get some product off before taking the wand out.
This was the only product inside the glossybox that I didnt really have any opinions on. The product and the packaging didnt really excite me an awful lot and i feel like i already have everything here and i know that those products work. The results from using the products remind me alot like the brand Simple, you dont really notice the results and to be honest they dont really do anything for me. I will only really reach for these when i am running out of a cleanser or something. I did like that they came as little travel minis so if I ever need one of these i can take them away with me which is really useful, that is probably what i will use them for to be honest.
This oil smells amazing, I really like that the scent of it wasn’t too strong was I could still smell it. Even for this size there was a lot of product inside, with an oil I normally find that it takes me longer to get through them. This is going to last me for a while which I am happy about. I really like the way it applies to my face, it stays on my face for a while which I like and it really nourishes my skin. I also liked that it didn’t stay on my hands for ages, because especially with oils i don’t like my fingers to be greasy. I have really dry sensitive skin so this product feels like it is doing my skin a lot of help. The first time I used it I noticed it moisturised my skin as soon as I used it, which was great! The packaging is really simple and is like their normal MONUSKIN packaging which I thought was alright.
Let me know what you think of this months box and if you think you would have liked it!

That chocolate bar looks so yummy! I haven’t tried silicone sponges yet, I’m not sure I want to. I really haven’t heard anyone rave about them! I think they’re just a fad.

OMG ITS AMAZING! Have you had it before? to be honest, they are a waste of money. I agree. just a little phase that people went through!

Glossybox looks awesome. I didn’t realize they offered it in the U.S. too since I always see UK bloggers posting about it. I just went to check it out, but sadly I don’t think I want to pay an extra $20 a month since I’m currently trying to save some money. I already get Ipsy, which is $10 a month. Although I do think this box looks better, so that’s probably why it costs more. 😛

Yes they do I think, double check that though! OH THATS CRAZY! I wouldn’t pay that either, you could also subscribe to a box in the US if you wanted one? thats cool, I have never heard of that one before so I will have to look it up xx

Kinder bueno?? It really is the best thing ever!!
It seems like a cool and varied box tbh, never brought a subscription box because I don’t have the money to spend on items i may not even like but love love reading about them!

OMG RIGHT?! I agree with what you are saying, there is sometimes one product that I don’t use in the box. x

  6. September 26, 2017 / 9:35 pm

I always love the look of these beauty boxes but never get supscriptions to them, although i’m not sure why. That is amazing getting a chocolate bar as well, what a pleasant surprise. I have never used Pixi products but £12 for clear brow gel is ridiculous, I would never pay that. Great post xx

Do you think you will end up getting it? I really like getting the box, the only downside is that sometimes there might be products that I won’t use. I know, I thought that was so cute that they put that in there. I agree, it is expensive for what it is. thank you xx

Literally the kinder Bueno was the thing that jumped out at me in the pic!
