We all know that when it comes to makeup, Jeffree Star does not play around. What ever your opinions are of him you can’t deny that he brings out amazing makeup. The packaging, formulas and colours are always innovative and creative. When he first announced he was bringing out this palette, I was blown away and obsessed as I wanted it so bad. P A C K A G I N G
I am such a sucker for good packaging. I can appreciate it. I love that the box has water droplets on it to really stick to the theme of water and summer. The Thirsty sign is written in a really cool font where it looks like ice cream has melted. I kindaaa love it. To have the palette orange I think was a good choice, because orange to me screams summer and.. it is so eyecatching.
The mirror came with a clear film over the top of it (it was cut very poorly as you can see, but it does the job)

The mattes in the palette have the classic Jeffree Star Cosmetics emblem and it is pressed into all of the mattes, but not the metallics. The actual size of the colours are really big, I have never seen pan sizes so big before. You are getting so much product for each shadow.
Parched – Pale beige matte
This colour is the first colour i will use on my eyes, with whatever eye look i am doing. It is the perfect colour for having a brilliant base. It is pigmented and i think really essential in this palette.
Taste Buds – Light coral matte
This colour is a very light pink. I did expect this colour to be more pigmented than is it, but once you build it up, it is a lovely colour.
Biiiitch – Bright salmon matte
This colour is very different to Taste Buds, it almost looks a bit neon in the palette. It is very pigmented salmon colour and I really enjoy using this shade.
Kumquat – Orange matte
This burnt orange colour blends really well and it is so pigmented. This is one of the colours that i think i already have in my collection.
Stroke – Deep orange matte
In the palette this colour looks more of a reddish dark brown, but it is actually a darker orange colour. It doesn’t look 100% how it looks in the palette. The colour is really pigmented and easy to blend. I find myself reaching for this alot.
Divine – Silver metallic
A gorgeous strong pure silver colour that really is such a good shade. SUPER PIGMENTED.
Filthy Rich – Golden metallic
This is a pure gold shade, it doesn’t have any other colours running through it.
Lick – Golden orange metallic
A more orange based bronze shade.
Snatched – Pink champagne metallic
STUNNING! this colour is incredible. Such a gorgeous pink champagne colour, really unique to my collection. Super super creamy.
Plunge – Bronze metallic
This colour is more of a brown bronze shade.
Subtle – Medium cool-toned brown matte
This shade is the perfect colour to blend into your crease and will look amazing if you are doing a brown smokey eye.
Quench – Yellow matte
HOLY MOLY this yellow is gorgeous. I don’t have a yellow like this in my collection. It really is super pigmented and so beautiful in the inner corner. PERFECT for this time of year.
Submerge – Light blue matte
WOW, your eyes really are drawn to the blue straight away. Such a stunning bright blue shade. Super pigmented and if you mix it with the yellow it makes a cool lime green colour.
Splash – Teal blue matte
Once again, such a unique shade to my colour and such a gorgeous shade of blue.
Drizzle – Dark chocolate brown matte
A dark brown that does need a little building, isn’t as pigmented as I thought. I do always find myself reaching for this colour as it will darken up any look. I use this shade if I am doing any smokey eye. Could also be used for a eyebrows!
The one type of shade I think is missing from this palette is some sort of highlighting shade. There are no colours to put on your brow bone or in the inner corner, unless you are doing a super funky look and want to add the blue to your inner corner.
There are a good mixture of mattes and metallics and all of the metallics go with the matte shades. You wont struggle to incorporate metallics into your looks. In this palette there are some very unique shades, half of the colours in this palette I don’t currently have in my collection which is good! There isn’t really alot of fall out in the palette, but there is a little bit of fallout on my face every time I use this palette. This doesn’t really annoy me that much, i just try to do my eyes before my base.
T H E M A T T E S
The mattes blend amazingly well, there isn’t a single shade that I find hard to blend. I find the mattes blend really nicely together too, which i find so important with a palette. Most of the shades are very pigmented and my brushes pick up alot of product from them. There are a couple of shades that i thought were a tad underwhelming such as Taste Buds and Drizzle, BUT, they are still amazing shades and i use them near enough every time i use this palette. The mattes have a really good longevity and i find my eyeshadow will look the same at the end of the day as it did when i first did it.

All of the metallic’s in this palette are VERY chunky. I didn’t think they would be as chunky as they were. All of the shades are very buttery, but because they all have sliver flecks of glitter inside it makes them a little chunky. If you are going to use any of these metallic shades, definitely prepare yourself for some glitter fall out. I would suggest doing your eyeshadow before you lay down your base. You WILL get glitter all down your face and it will be such a struggle to get off. There have been many times where I havent done this and i have had glitter on my face for hours. I recommend using concealer or a glitter glue before using any of these metallic shades. These shades reflect beautifully from the sunlight and really do look gorgeous. They are pigmented beyond belief and their longevity is incredible, they wont crack or move throughout the whole day.
I absolutely love this palette for number of different reasons.
The formula is really good.
All of the eye shadow colours blend like a dream and they are so easy to use. They are pigmented and will really make any eye look look incredible.
The colours are so unique and really worth having in your collection.
There is a good mixture of mattes and metallics which allows you to create a number of different looks, from colourful ones to every day wearable looks.
The packaging and colour selection is sickening!
Is this palette for you?
If you are someone who loves being adventurous with makeup and colours then 100% yes it is for you.
If you are someone who is trying to be more adventurous with makeup, then I think this is a good palette to do that. You have every day colours that you use wear whilst adding a pop of colour. This is a good palette for you to explore different ways to add colour into every day looks.
If you love Jeffree Star cosmetics, I don’t think you will be disappointed. This is my first eyeshadow palette from his cosmetic line and I am super happy with this palette. If you have tried any of his other palettes then let me know what your thoughts are, I have my eye on Blood Sugar!
If you are someone who wears minimal makeup and doesn’t really wear a lot of eyeshadow, then this palette might not be for you.
Do you have the Thirsty palette, what are your thoughts? or are you thinking of getting the palette?
