I love being organised and I love the idea of being organised, but sometimes I struggle. It took me a while to get there but I would say that I am organised when it comes to blogging. When I first started blogging, if I had a post like this then it would have helped me so much. You learn something new everyday so hopefully this post will help at least someone.
If you don’t have a set of sticky notes, THEN YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. Also how adorable are these?! sticky notes are sooo useful. They are great for sticking on important pages or even the bigger ones are great for writing down little notes. I like to write notes done on the bigger ones and stick it on my laptop near my mousepad. I use these ones to stick in the inside of the pages that are important. The ones with the numbers on are great at using them for importance, so if I have a blog post that I need to upload asap I will use like a 9 or exclamation mark.
You need a main blogging planner. This blogger has literally saved my ass since I started blogging. It has helped me with absolutely everything and I don’t know how I would have been organised without it. It was really affordable and I would 100% recommend getting it if this looks like something you will like. The planner is really thick and there is ALOT of space for content that you want to put inside.
You need a main planner where you can write everything down, all of your content, your sponsored posts and a notes section and this planner has exactly that. I have already done another post on this planner so check it out if you want to see it in more detail This is the main page inside the planner and it has everything on it. All of the dates of the post, the titles, the idea you have, a little checklist and a mini diary. I feel like that is everything you could want for a content page. Everything on here I use and find it all useful. There is so much room for writing down your content, you could list it or use a spider diagram. I like that you can go back through and see all of the content you have created, it is nice to look back on it.
The sponsored content pages are so so so useful! I don’t think I have seen this with any other planner. Keeping up with your sponsored content is so important, I think it is also nice to go back through and look at all of the great brands you have worked with. There is enough here to write down everything about the brand/ product that you need to like the product, the brand, the date it arrived, the deadline for the post. Then if you have been paid you can tick the box an if you have published the post you can tick it off too. I like to write down next to the paid box how much I have been paid, just so it is written down in case of any problems.
THIS BOOK IS SO ESSENTIAL!! You need a book where you write down all of your thoughts on the products you are trying. If you are a beauty blogger then this book is something that you need. When I work with companies and they send me products I HAVE to write everything down about it, from the packaging, to how the product performs and even the price. It is sooo useful when it comes to writing the post as you can refer back to this book. It is really useful as you won’t forget anything when writing the post and it makes it a hell of a lot easier. I also use this book to write down any rough ideas I have and then if I want to use the idea I will put It in my blog planner. So all of the ideas that I have for Halloween posts will go in here and the ones I will actual want to create will go into my blog planner.
If you are a baking blogger, this won’t come as a shock to you. Having a recipe book is needed. Writing out the recipes that you know you want to make is so helpful. It is so easy to refer back to the ingredients that you need to buy when you are shopping. If I am baking that week then I will put a post it note on the inside of the page so it is easy for me to get to and I don’t have to search around my book for it. This one is really pretty which makes me want to write in it even more.
All recipe books are different, but I like this one as you can write down everything you need on two pages. I like that it has a notes section next to the ingredients and method. I can write down the servings, the prep time that i will need, how long it takes to bake and any additional notes e.g (leave the cake in the cake tin)
A weekly planner is going to make your life so much easier. Sitting down on a Sunday night and writing what I am going to be for the next week makes me feel so organised. It makes it so much easier to see what I need to do on certain days. I am at university and I work aswell but being a blogger I can write down what I need to do for each day, so when my life does get crazy I can just look on here and see what I am doing each day. The to do list is good because I write down everything I need to do, even from the tiniest things like charge my camera. You won’t forget anything as you have written it all down, but also you can tick it off as you go. This is the only weekly planner that I have seen that has calls / emails on it – SO USEFUL. Since I have started blogging I need to check my emails every morning, and writing down what brands I need to email back keeps me on top of it.
I like to write down the Twitter chats that I know I am going to take part in on that day. So on Tuesdays if I know I am going to take part in the GRLPOWRCHAT then I will write it down. it is also good to set an alarm on your phone if you always forget and really want to take part in a chat. Each week you might want to mix up the chats that you take part in.

Scheduling your tweets is sooo important. YOU NEED BUFFER. I was actually really late on this one, but since I have been doing I have noticed a massive difference. You can set your tweets to go up throughout the day when you can’t do it. You don’t have to worry about tweeting out your recent blog post as it does it for you. I ABSOLUTELY HATE SCHEDULING MY TWEETS I am not going to lie and say it is so much fun, because it’s not. However, it is really worth it in the end. If you buffer your tweets for a week you will see the difference in your views for that week, because when you buffer your tweets I have noticed I get a lot more views on my blog. You can add the social medias that you want to upload your posts to on your settings, I only use Twitter.
There are some great places that you can get your stationary from. My favourites are Paperchase, The Works and Wilkinsons.
The Ultimate Blog Planner is from Dot Creates
To Do This Week Pad is from Poundworld
The Pink and Rose Gold notebook is from Wilkinsons
The Stick Notes are from The Works
Recipe Book is from Paperchase
I hope this post has helped someone. It always makes me feel so much better knowing that I am organised. Let me know if there are any twitter chats that I missed and also tell me what you do to keep organised.
