Grab a tea, get cosy and let’s have a life related chat about quotes.
If you know me then you will know that I love a good quote and I have done ever since I was younger. If we throwback 5/6 years ago, my instagram was FULL of quotes. I would post a couple a week and share them on my stories alot. I had quotes as my iPhone wallpaper, quotes in my bedroom, quotes on the front of my notebooks – the lot. Fast forward to now and I still love a good quote. I try and share them as much as I can mostly on my instagram and sometimes twitter. I really believe that quotes mean something and I try to bring them into my lifestyle alot, so why not share that.. you know?
I want to share a couple of quotes that I live by because why the hell not.. if you are someone who also loves quotes then I would love for you to comment your favourite ones too. Some of these quotes I don’t know who originally said them, so I have left them as unknown.
“What’s meant to be will always find it’s way” – Trisha Yearwood
If something is supposed to be in your life then it will find a way to you, no matter what. This might mean that it takes a while to get to you, but you have to trust what is happening in your life at that moment.
“Everything happens for a reason” – Marilyn Monroe
This quote is definitely one that I think about daily because it applies to so many different things. I 100% believe that everything in life happens for a reason, sometimes you don’t find out what that reason is and other times you do. You might find out later in life what that reason was, but there will always be a reason behind what happens. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together.
“Trust the timing of your life” – unknown
This one kind of falls hand in hand with everything happens for a reason. You have to trust where you are in life at the moment. You have to know that this is the journey you are supposed to be on and that you are exactly where you are supposed to be (even if it doesn’t feel like it). You shouldn’t compare yourself to others because we all have different journeys in life and it is so true. We are all individual people so why would our stories be the same?? I also think that good things take time and good things always come to those who wait.
“Not everyone is going to stay forever, and we still have to keep on going and thank them for what they’ve given us.” – Emery Allen
I love this quote because when I was younger I really struggled when it came to naturally growing apart from friends. After I left school this quote stuck with me because I understood that some friends in your life are only temporary and are only there for a certain amount of time. They are there to be your friends for that period of time, a perfect example is school or university. When I was at school I made some really good friends and created some some cool memories with them. Now I know that they were only supposed to be my friend while I was at school, to fill that space you know? because if that wasn’t the case, then I would still be really good friends with them now. This is the same when people grow apart, you just have to accept that they were only supposed to be in your life for that period to time and THAT IS OK! some friendships don’t last forever. Every friend that has come into my life (the ones who are no longer there) have taught me something, I thank them for that.
“Create your own sunshine” – unknown
I love this quote and I think it is so important. It just really encourages me to do what I love and not to care about what any one else thinks. If I am loving what I am doing, I don’t have time to even care what other people have to say about it. Do whatever you want with your life, don’t wait for it to happen.
“Love what you do and do what you love”– unknown
Be in love with what you love. I love acting, I love reading, I love baking, I love blogging, I love my family, I love doing my makeup, I love painting my nails, I love going to the gym, I love watching films. It is so important to do what you love because life is too short to not do exactly that. If you love doing something, then keep doing it because it makes you happy. You should also love what you do ( I normally connect this with a job or a hobby ) – there are alot of people out there that are in a job that they hate. If you are reading this and you are one of those people.. you don’t have to be doing that job if you hate it, there ARE other alternatives. I worked at a retail store around April time and it was the worst place I have ever worked. It affected my mental health so badly. I left because I knew it was the best thing to do and I was unemployed for a couple of months. So I know how it feels, but you have got to put yourself first. You should be in love with your job and enjoy going to work everyday. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO NOT ENJOY YOUR JOB. Blogging is something I have been doing for nearly 3 years now, I am super lucky that I earn some income from doing it. I literally can’t imagine my life without blogging and I am SUPER HAPPY to say that.
“By doing what you love, you inspire & awaken the hearts of others” – Satsuki Shibuya
This quote is actually on my about page (that is now updated if you care to have a look, click here ) I think it is so important to do what you love because you will, maybe without knowing it, inspire and encourage others to do the same. I love being creative and sharing that with the world. Since I started blogging I have received such a vast amount of emails and messages from people saying that I have impacted their life in a good way and that is amazing.
“You’ll end up really disappointed if you think people will do for you as you do for them. Not everyone has the same heart as you…”– Unknown
This quote is so true, if you expect the same back from others then you will be disappointed. I am the type of person that is always trying to make everyone happy. I will always go the extra mile for people because that is just who I am. The amount of times I have been so sad because people have proved to me that they don’t have the same heart as me, is actually a joke. They don’t care for people the same way I do. They aren’t passionate about things like I am. They aren’t willing to go the extra mile like I am. It is very sad to think this, but it is what it is at the end of the day.
Story time- Earlier today, I was parked outside my house and went inside. I started doing some cleaning and as I was cleaning the window seal I could see a lady outside who was struggling to get her car onto her drive way ( she did have enough room can I just point out ) so I went outside and said to her do you want me to move my car? and she literally made a hand gesture and a head movement to say “well yeah obviously” and she was so rude about it, I was so shocked. I moved my car and sat there while she reversed into the space and she got out and never said thank you. – this made me sooo angry. I just sat there and thought, I would never have acted like that and how can she be so rude?
What are some quotes that you live by, please leave them in the comments as I would love to read them.
